Working directly with and for senior leadership teams, Melissa has designed and implemented recruiting/hiring/onboarding strategies, employee benefit programs, compensation programs and effective recognition programs, together with managing employee relations, and defending legal action.
During her prior tenure with People1stHR, Melissa developed, implemented and participated in various client projects including HR compliance audits, handbook development, job analysis, people development, talent acquisition, and compensation design. Additionally, she participated in internal projects regarding quality, process improvement and marketing.
Before rejoining People1stHR, Melissa held several HR leadership positions, most recently with JAS Forwarding USA as the Director of Human Resources where she was responsible for partnering with the senior management team in defining and implementing talent acquisition, compensation strategies, employee engagement, employee development and performance management, legal compliance, employee benefits and workers compensation.
Melissa is an experienced, diversely experienced Human Resources professional with a proven track record of delivering solid HR programs in alignment with organizational goals and with focus on bottom-line results. She has extensive experience in creative talent acquisition, management and staff accountability, organizational development and employee career growth and succession. Her leadership skills and business acumen are paramount to her success as a Human Resources executive.
